LITELOK X1 MOTO

Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way - this was not designed for motorbikes, and it only fits on some motorcycle wheels, so make sure you've used the template available on the website and ensure it will fit on your bike before buying... Probably great for a little 125 or something of that nature, but won't work on a larger bike in general unless you have the kind of hubs it can go through.

That aside, it is lightweight, really solid build quality, extremely portable, and does everything I need it to do on one of my bike's front wheels, at least.

Not tested it myself or yet had some thieving little scrote try doing it on my behalf, but I feel a lot better knowing I have it when I'm out and about on my little Himalayan, and wouldn't want to be without it.

This is my first motorcycle lock, and after doing quite a bit of research I decided to go with the Litelok X1 — and I’m really glad I did.

Right out of the box the lock feels incredibly solid and well made. The build quality is excellent and it immediately gives you confidence that it’s designed to deal with serious theft attempts. One of the main reasons I chose the X1 was its reputation for being highly resistant to angle grinder attacks, which gave me a lot more peace of mind compared to cheaper locks.

One thing that did surprise me at first is that it’s a bit smaller than I originally expected. My initial plan was to use it mainly to lock the bike to something solid, like a ground anchor or street furniture. Because of the size that’s not always possible depending on what you're locking to, but it actually works really well when I put it through the spokes of my motorcycle wheel instead. It still feels extremely secure and is very quick and easy to use that way.

Another thing I really like is how lightweight it is for such a strong lock. It doesn’t feel like a burden to carry around, which makes it much more practical for everyday use. It also comes with a small carry pouch, which is really useful for transporting it—especially if the lock gets dirty from being in and around the spokes.

No longer having secure parking and having to park my bike in the driveway, I was very apprehensive to say the least about moving home. I had the normal sold secure chains and locks but they were cumbersome and I have seen so many videos online where thieve's with angle grinders have still cut through them relatively easily. After being in my new home for a month, sleeping with the window open in the middle of winter, just in case I would be woken up by someone trying to steal my motorbike...I'd had enough. I'd seen some ads for litelock on social media and decided to look into them in more detail and having seen people, even in other countries recommend them...I just went out and bought the X1 hoping it was a worthy investment to try introduce some calm into what has now become a regular activity of checking my bike multiple times a night. I'm so pleased that I bought it and now will be buying a second so I can have one on each wheel and get rid of the awkward heavy chains and locks I currently use on the other wheel. Extremely good quality, easy to put on and a major deterrent to any potential thieves.. it will certainly give me time to react should someone attempt to cut through it. 100% recommended.
