Intrusive Riders, Danny and Shelley, are preparing to take on an incredible 1,000-mile motorcycle charity ride to raise awareness for mental health and support two charities that are close to their hearts.

The challenge will see them travel from Lands End to John O’ Groats, setting off on 11th August and completing the journey on 15th August. Along the way, they will host four bike nights, giving fellow riders and supporters the opportunity to meet them, share stories, and show their support.
Registration is free, with a suggested £5 donation towards the chosen charities.
Bike Night Locations

Why Danny & Shelley Are Organising This Ride
Mental health has had a deeply personal impact on Danny and Shelley’s lives. In 2019, Danny sadly lost his brother, Ayden, who suffered with borderline personality disorder. Ayden was just 26 years old.
His loss changed their family forever and highlighted the importance of support, open conversations, and community.
“We’re not mental health experts, we’re just two bikers who want to use this ride to raise awareness, support great charities, and remind people that it’s okay to talk.” - Danny & Shelley
Throughout the journey, they will also be visiting Bike and Brew venues, welcoming biker cafés where they can collect passport stamps as they travel along the route.

The Charities They Are Supporting
Andy's Man Club
Andy’s Man Club is a charity particularly close to their hearts. Following the heartbreaking loss of Danny’s brother, Danny’s dad found support through Andy’s Man Club, a place where men can talk, listen, and connect with others who understand, without judgement.
Their groups demonstrate the power of a simple conversation, especially during difficult times. For Danny and his family, this charity is not just one they support; it is one they have personally experienced the value of.

Mental Health Motorbike
Shelley chose Mental Health Motorbike because they support the biking community that they are proud to be part of.
The charity provides free mental health support for bikers and their families, helping people talk, connect, and access support through trained mental health first aiders, peer support, and events across the UK.
Sometimes a ride, a conversation, or simply spending time with people who understand can make all the difference.
Capturing The Journey
Documenting the adventure will be John Peter. After hearing about Danny and Shelley’s plans, John reached out and offered to become involved, capturing the entire journey from start to finish.

His aim is to capture more than just the miles covered, he will be documenting the laughs, challenges, bike nights, people they meet along the way, and the story behind why they are taking on this challenge.
Charity Raffles
“We’ve been blown away by the support from motorcycle brands and local businesses who have offered to get involved and donate prizes for the charity raffles”
The prizes will be shared across all four bike nights, with details of what is up for grabs being announced soon. Keep an eye out on their Instagram and Facebook.
LITELOK are supporting the raffles by providing peace of mind through security, with one lucky winner receiving a prize.
Danny and Shelley are still collecting donation prizes. If you would like to get involved and support the cause, you can send them a message on Instagram.
This ride is about much more than covering 1,000 miles, it’s about starting conversations, bringing people together, and reminding everyone that it’s okay to talk.
If you wish and are in a position to do so, you can support these charities with a donation here!
